mm.. those look like the oem e90 led plate lights. i did this mod a year ago and they did throw a "check lic plate lights". the plug connection is also different so you have to cut the old plug off and install the correct one for those lights, plus the two contacts that go in the plug.

These have built in resistors that are designed not to throw a bulb out warning as well.

Those are not the E90 one. It's looks the same but has 18LED compare to the OEM one.

too bright. Why would you want it brighter? I like the normal oem e90/e92 brightness
