Dashboard air vent illumination bulb failed?

The twin air vents in the middle of the dashboard on my '98 E39 do not illuminate when the lights are on and I guess this is due to a bulb failure.
Does anyone know how to access this bulb to change it?

Thanks

Jim

None of the E39's I have owned have had this feature either so I would guess it was not offered.

Would be a nice mod though???

Richie.

Thanks for the info, even though it is nearly 3 years later . It just shows that you need to stay with a forum for life.
