Sat Nav upgrade MkIII/ MkIV

Hi all,

I've been looking at changing my standard Stereo to BMW Sat Nav for some time and have been keeping an eye out for units on ebay, although looking into the install, it does look a bit time consuming, not to mention the need to buy additional parts/ wiring loom, etc.

However, I've found a guy (BMW technician) that will install the following, new kit, with warranty:

MkIII - £1800
MkIV - £2350

I think this price seems pretty reasonable!? has anyone any thoughts?

In addition, what are your thoughts on the benefits/ drawbacks of the 2 different systems.

many thanks in advance,
Alex
