Loose M5

No i dont mean its been out on the town.......my M5 feels a little loose at the back lets say a little unsteady on its feet. Rear suspension rubbers maybe.....

any guides or advice?

You'll want to search the main e39 forum for "rear sway brackets" or perhaps "x5 bushings".

Thanks for that, its taken me a while to find a problem i need to find out more on.....

the car was bought for peanuts really and was purchased for one almighty road trip....

Car examined - result - rear upper balljoint gone - not sway arms.

but have ordered -

Complete powerflex bushes to be fitted
Plus new sway arm brackets

should be tight then....

If you search on powerflex and x5 bushings in the main forum, you'll see there is some debate. Even on sway brackets, some choose to replace the $3 part every so often, while others go for expensive ultra-strong solutions (TCD).
