We have the below item available for immediate delivery. We made it for acustomer some time ago who never collected it.

It weighs only 4kg ( yes really :M5thumbs: ) and has never been fitted to a car. It is 100% carbon fibre, with functional NACA style air vent.

Fits onto factory hinges etc.

Please note these images show the item in it's raw carbon form, requires claer coating or painting. Any sanding marks you see will dissapear once prepared and clear coated, leaving the carbon weave showing clearly if required.

Money back guarantee.

Normally costs ÂŁ1700 .

On sale here for clearance at ÂŁ490 gbp or $850 us dollars, plus shipping.

Man I would be all over that hood if you were in the USA.How much is shipping to California?

#4 ·
It is not the price, but the fact if I am not happy with the fit and finish,I have no recourse.Do you have a USA representative? Thanks

#5 ·
I understand, but actually you have plenty of recourse, because if you are not happy with the product and we do not do something about it you can always complain publicaly on this forum and the negative publicity just would not be worth our while for sake on one hood.

This hood comes unlaquered / unpainted by the way, so requires preparation and painting before fitting.

let us know what you think ?

thanks

Roy,what about the vent?Does it need to be cut out and does a screen go under it?Thanks.

I could not tell from the pics tha the vent was already functioning. So out with the mesh:hihi: .I need the vent too for my supercharger.

Good deal Jim

Shipping is serious.

From my judgement, CA is a solid party.

If the hood did not have the vent and I was a bit further down my "To Do" list, I would have bought.

Wout

Are there more of these available? Jimmy, if you don't mind, I might have to check yours out in person when you get it and see how good the fit and finish is and if I want to go for it or not (if available that is). Is this for wide grill applications only?

It is yours for the asking. The price/quality of the hood is fantastic, but trying to find a shop to prep it in the Bay Area is another matter-cost more than the hood itself.:(

Hi

yes this hood is still available.

We are surprised at the trouble Jimmy had finding a bodyshop to do this, we can only imagine the particular shops had never seen carbon fibre as a body part before.

There is no issue in painting carbon, you treat it the same as FRP or any other composite:

- flat it down well
- apply 2 x coats sealer primer
- apply standar primer coats
- flat down
- paint
- clear coat

we have carried out such painting numerous times, below is a close up of my own M3 painted carbon hood :D

Hi Gents

I am afraid the original molds for these hoods are not too worn, so to produce more we need to start again, and costs will be higher, maybe 20 - 30 %. If this still interests any of you please post up and we will crunch some numbers to see what we can do .

all the best
