Sadly I think the time may have come to sell my UK market M5.
For a combination of reasons I am not able to enjoy the car, and won't be able to for the foreseeable future.
It is a 1992 3.8 5 speed in Daytona Violet. The interior is the silver grey M cloth. The car is fitted with Servotronic steering and the Nurburgring package. It's been in dedicated and professional storage since March 2013 and has not turned a wheel since then. It was a regular weekend and occasional daily driver before it went in to storage but the bodywork had started to show surface rust in places. My goal was to restore it when I returned to the UK but that doesn't look likely any time soon.
Despite the rust, the car is an absolute beaut and is very honest. Each owner has invested strong money in its upkeep since day one, as evidenced in the history.
It has the S50 timing chain upgrade and has been blown over in the last decade, otherwise it is in original specification.
It's on approximately 150,000 miles and has an absolute wad full of service history and papers. It also comes with a stack of spare parts (including NLA items) that I have listed and detailed on a spreadsheet with part numbers and descriptions etc. I think the total spare parts number in the region of 110 individual units. You'd certainly need a trailer and a van to fit everything in!
Naturally I have tons more information on the car, if anyone is interested, please drop me an email.
Really in two minds as to whether this is a good idea or not, but lets see!
Cheers
Rob
