i was not aware there is a bmw musem in north america. i have read about the one being buit in germany bmw world.

I'd heard that there were 2 of those M5's. Not sure where they are, but I'd not heard that they're still in service.

I have not heard where that car currently is.

The BMW factory near Spartanburg has a small museum they call the Zentrum. It has room for 10 or so vehicles. When I was there, cars ranged from a 30's Dixie to a 507 Roadster to a 90's F1 racer, an E30 art car, and the new at the time X5 that was used in the Insurance Institute front impact test. I recall they also had a 1920's motorcycle and airplane engine.
