Mpg??

Hello again!!

Just wondered what you lot get MPG wise? The compter is reading about 25 at the moment. Is this accurate?? If it is, its not bad considering I have been driving the car harder than I would usually ( NEW OWNER!!!)

I'll slow down soon!!!Its just that the low rev pick up of the engine is so so adictive!! Awesome!

tricky this, but whilst driving, if you press the consumption button and hold it down for a few secs, it will give the mpg you're doing at that precise moment, otherwise, if you just press it once, it just gives the average.
Mine does an ave of 26.3 (or so it says) but whilst on my jaunt down to S France, and doing 100+ it showed an ave of 34mpg, and on some stretches it gave a read out of 38ish, round town it's not too bad either considering the type of car it is?
I currently use a tankful every 2 weeks covering about 350miles in that time, I use Optimax so a little more expensive but still happ with it.

I've found that if I reset the trip meter, write down the gasoline purchase, and calculate the actual miles per gallon, it differs significantly from what the On Board Computer reports. My calculated average is usually 15-20% worse.

With s54 and 3.91 I average around 15-17 miles....but I'm constantly in the powerband even on the highway

also trying to increase my post count. ridiculous limits on this forum.

sounds like people should clarify which engine/trans/type of driving. US S52 here and I get ~19mpg of mostly back road hammering + stop/go highway.
