Oh Sorry to hear that Gustav... I think this has been my first hearing of a mirror stolen. If you bolt the morror down to something wont the thief get mad and like yank it really hard and brake something? Well I guess that will prevent them form stealing it but...

GRRRRRRRR thieving bastards.

Think I my try electrifying my car ...25 KV would do

I saw a white M3 4 door in Cleveleys (near Blackpool) today....with no rear view mirrors!! I guess some toerag had pinched them!

GRRRRRRRR!!

God it annoys me when I see a shitty Astra with M3 mirrors driving around.

Hi Andy,

Thank you for your e-mail.
Yes it happens also in Greece.
Here in Greece you can see many M "looking" cars with all the M components (bumpers, side skirts mirrors) but with 4 cylinder engines.
I was "lucky" and they didn't damage anything.
Now I must replace them, and they cost around 880 Euros.
Can you introduce me any aftermarket supplier of BMW parts who sells replica M3 mirrors in UK ?

Best Regards,
Dimitris

Dimitris

No problem, there are loads of suppliers who do good replica mirrors that are all electric/heated etc, at a 3rd of the price. I'll get something together and PM you.

Most mirrors were stolen when you park right?

Down here they steal it right in front of your nose in traffic lights or gridlocks. Usually they are armed with knife and work in pairs to take both the right and left mirrors at the same time before they split into the crowds.

Some of my friends car's got stolen twice in a month... tough luck for his insurance company.

--BTW this happen down here everyday for all cars and all mirror designs, not just M3 aero mirrors--

Just got home with my M3....I'd like to insert those wires to protect them. So do I just whack the mirrors to remove them? Must be a better way. How do they go back on?

Thanks,
Bill K
