I agree ,, what is told in the text is actually IMO.. the real thing,, MULTI power cars are not the fastest cars on a track in many cases,,

i have 40 +/- laps on the Nürburgring Nordschleife,, behind the steering wheel in my cars,,, and similair as a passenger in all kinds of cars,,
If i may i wanna share some info and my experience what i have done and tried
the Radical SR8 was mentioned here,, as i have driven that car around ASCARI ,, many times,, + SR3 and LOLA F3 i think i know the difference between a FAST car and a BLINDING quick track car,,
The SR8 is not fast and quick,, it is a lot more!!!!! its brute power and great downforce and 4xx+ hp all incl to a 650kg chassis on FULL SLICK
is something that is VERY VERY hard to beat,, it is faster vs the new RXZ coupe,, and that car have the new 3.0 liter engine,, a friend of mine had the SR8 with the 3.0 engine and the engine was SO POWERFULL the chassis could not handle the power,, and the car was returned,,
the RXZ is a NEW full coupe car,, that is heavier and stronger built,, the SR3 1500 is IMO one of the greatest track toy money can buy,, its 250 hp and 85 kg lighter vs SR8,, and on a twisty circuit .. its faster,, thats a fact,, it is also more than 50% cheaper when buying new vs SR8
i had last summer a lap in the SR3 Ford turbo on the NORDSCHLEIFE ,, but that car is not going to beat the record for sure
Regarding Nürburgring lap time,, i think to make a fair comparison ,,i would take a driver who have driven all kinds of cars around the Ring,, like Horst von Saurma to drive the AGERA-R or ONE ,, why??
he is the driver who have driven so many cars around the ring,, so his laptimes is the time that could be considered as an average result between all kinds of other cars,, but to set a laprecord in a Koenigsegg,, the driver must know the car well,, i was told that an experienced
RING driver tried to make a fast lap.. some years ago.. and went off the track quickly.. so i guess it is not enough to know the ring well,, the car must also be well known ,,before attempting
i think the Koenigsegg is not gonna do anything at all,, except perhaps the fastest speed ever on the ring,, the Koenigsegg is a HIGHSPEED ultracar.. not a track car,, and those cars that have superior downforce,, do not go as fast on the straight.. that is pure physic,,
some cars suits the ring well,, others do not,, i have heard that the new Renault Megane is unbeliveble quick .. compared to many highpower cars,, and maybe faster around..... not bad,, i have never been trying to get any record time for my self on my cars,, just enjoy to drive there..
in easter 2008 i spun of on the GP circuit in an extremely bad conditions,, that weekend costed me 15.000€,, had just picked the cabrio from rebuild and some minor mods,, and you do not wanna repeat that hole in your pocket,, belive me !!!!!!!
last summer i had a passenger lap in 2008 Z06 LS7.. slightly modified,, another camshaft.. KW.. MOVIT frontbrakes,, and semislick,, imo this is the best car EVER i have been in on the Ring,, all incl,, BRUTE power all the way to redline and drove unbeliveble well,, and i mean you could drive the car home with comfort
the same day i had a lap in an E92 M3,, G-power kompressor (625 hp) full Tom Schirmer suspension [€€€€€€€€€€] etc et etc ..
ok maby in corner the M3 was ,,,just a margine faster ,, but the Corvette got 280 after Flugplatz->Schwedenkreutz when the M3 only got 265
and the accleration on the LS7 felt so much more and we are talking 100 less ponies,, at least on paper
AFAIK the Koenigsegg is based on the 956 suspension etc etc,,, but the 956 is almost half a ton lighter,, and that counts MOST in racing
6.11.13 is the time to beat,,,,,,,,, that is not gonna happen soon except the vehicle is just built for racing,,,,,,, NO streetcar that have to meet all kinds of rules will be able to do that,, and all the folks at the Ring i have talked to,, almost all of them say the same,, a F1 car is not gonna beat that record,, i think a group C car built,, or LM 1 cars could take the challenge,, but thats just my thoughts
