The Blue CCX that was crashed was delivered to a customer by Universal Autosports and than offered for sale again, which led to some confusion on the ferrarichat fourm:
Blue CCX - FerrariChat.com Quote from that forum by Universal Autosports themselves (post #17 of the before linked thread): "To alleviate any confusion, the car is sold ...and it's for sale. As has already been mentioned in this thread, the car is privately owned. The owner keeps the car at Universal because his car collection doesn't consist of just a Koenigsegg. So his house is occupied with other cars - and the CCX stays with us. When he wants it, we're just a phone call away. The owner is a very generous person, and allows us to use his car to promote Koenigsegg and Universal Autosports. That's why we've been 'parading' the car around at various events all along the east coast for the last year. When we bring it to a car show, some people actually like to see it - go figure. We never considered that showing the car might actually offend people." There was also some confusion about the Koenigsegg being repaired or being a total loss.
The black CCX that crashed was also delivered by Universal Autosports as can be seen in the link that evandaalen provided. Universal Autosports (at least I thought Maddock 69 was part of Universal Autosports at first) mentions in post #46 of this thread:
http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/koe...-s-spec-5.html that a black (although white is also mentioned) one will be delivered with newer technique (In post #57 of the same thread it is denied that maddock 69 has anything to do with Universal Autosports).
I am not sure what happened but I think it's safe to assume that the blue and the black CCX's were delivered by Universal Autosports and might be owned by the same guy. Is it the same car? It was mentioned that the black CCX has newer technique than the blue one so that could indicate that it's actually not the same car but I'm sure that if the blue one was send back to Koenigsegg to have it repaired they could have built in the newer technique...
