The emblem, the story behind it (family crest *cough, cough*), the very familiar look of it. The general design of the car (dash, intakes, width, lines, general design). The description of why they picked a V8. SSC - CCX. The presentation. And yes... the bald head...
Its just one of those cars that doesn't really exist. Like the Spyker. Its not a car you can buy and drive. anyone can make a one-off

For the record, about 200 Spykers have been built. They are quite available, even in the U.S.
As for the SSC, I'm still waiting to see some kind of road test in any one of the three major U.S. car magazines (Car and Driver, Road and Track, Motor Trend), or even a mention in Autoweek for that matter. It did set some kind of speed record, but as far as I know less than a dozen have been built thus far, most of which have gone to the Middle East. I've spoken to the SSC dealer in Las Vegas and they assure me that the SSC is real and that it even is U.S. OBD-II compliant.
That being said, the SSC Ultimate Aero is quite the enigma. I wish them well, but whether SSC becomes the next Koenigsegg or the next Vector, only time will tell.
I have seen both the SSC and the CCX at the same time (Top Marque 2008, Monaco).
There is NO comparison! One is like a one off build and the other is crash tested, emission tested and approved all over the world and has quality. One have a frame of steel with glassfiber body and the other a real carbon frame and body, thats a BIG difference. One has produced over 75 cars and the other less than 10?
If you give me enough money, I can build a faster car, but it will still NOT be a mass production car nor will it have been crash tested or certified for any country in the world.
I still do not understand how SSC managed to get approval as a series built car, when they took the Guinness world record?
And the "story" that SSC claimes is valid... it is a real theft from Koenigsegg, he even looks like Christian. Nothing is true in the story.

...the crest is excusable since the diamond pattern is pretty common, but koenigsegg went out and made his own car. in the sense that there's nothing that resembles his at all, while SSC looks like another spin off from the mclaren F1.
the way i see it, it'll fall to the sides like the saleen and mosler. it'll be accepted as a production car, but the company probably wont be acknowledged in the way KOENIGSEGG has

It's a bit more than the diamond pattern though, isn't it? The red stripe in the middle folloing the top line of the Koenigsegg emblem. The deer at the bottom looking an awfully lot like the CK on the top.
Even the family motto seems off - "In veritate victoria"/"Victory in thruth". Googling it shows it does not belong to Shelby. So much for the motto ey?
And why Shelby? Is it this Jared's or Jarod's (I've found both) given name? And even if so... why opt for Shelby Supercars when it's obviously gonna be falesly tied with THE ShelbY?
You could go on and on like this forever on this car. A "find the feature"-competition where posters would point out where they've stolen their design ideas would last at least a few pages.
So it's just not any ripp-off... it's THE rip-off. The chiPod of cars.
