This is perplexing to me as well... and we still need to clarify #072/#074.

I checked the "Bilder-Archiv" section on the Auto Salon Singen website and found the following Koenigseggs listed: Koenigsegg AUTO-SALON SINGEN, Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes, Benz, Vintage, Cars Auto-Salon-Singen, Autosalon, Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes, Bugatti, Autos, Cars, Images, Bilder, Photo

Please correct me if I am wrong but:

The Red / Black CC8S 2002 probably is #001.
The Silver / Grey & Red 2003 could possibly be #006.
The Grey / Black 2005 looks like a CCR to me but maybe she started life as a CC8S and was upgraded later to a CCR, just like #001. We might not have this one listed yet.
The Blue / Blue & Beige CC8S 2003 "Bassel" I have never seen before...
The CCXR Edition's: The first one seems to be an announcement, the second one is still for sale at Auto Salon Singen.

I will make a new thread for the Blue CC8S and Grey / Black CC8S / CCR and add photo's to the #001 and #006 thread if someone can confirm that the Blue CC8S and Grey / Black CC8S /CCR are indeed yet unknown and that the Red / Black and Silver / Grey & Red one are actually #001 respectively #006.

I don't know about those "two" Edition cars, they may be one and the same?

I have suspected for a while that the grey and red one was #006. I'll bet the red one is #001, what it was doing there I can't imagine. It's at the factory now?

Just guesses.

I agree on your idea on the Editions at Auto Salon Singen, the first one is "only" general pictures and is probably an anouncement that they would get one, the second one is the actual car.

As you said it would not have made sence for Koenigsegg to sell #001 and then buy it back later to transform her into the World Record car. The photographs of the red #001 (and as it seems all other CC8S listed except maybe #006) were not taken at Auto Salon Singen so they might not have had that car...

Koenigsegg CC8S

I was searching for Koenigsegg CC8S photographs on internet in order to find as many different CC8S ones as possible. This is what I found...

* I found a lot of photographs of a Red CC8S, this one we know: #001.

* I also found a lot of photographs of a Purple CC8S, this is #005.

* Many pictures also of #006. I hope you can appreciate this eeuh different one...

* A Koenigsegg participated in the Gumball 3000 in 2003, I found pictures of this one as well. The licenceplate is very interesting !

* This RHD Black / White and Black I found too.

* I think this one might be my favourite CC8S.

* The Black / Caramel and Black is also a very nice combination

* This one is a very early production model if we take the rear lights into account, these are the same as on #001 She is a RHD, so that makes four RHD models in total.

* Last but not least this Silver / White (?) one

That makes a total of nine CC8S which would be too much as I read somewhere that "only" seven or eight were likely to have been built...

Great finds! Love the black one with the black & white interior!

I will be adding these to the # unknown part of the registry soon, but I think we can safely assume that the grey one with the 007003 license plate is #003. If you want to start a thread for that one Laviolette GT2R, I'll let you do the honors!

Could this early production CC8S...

...have been "upgraded" (rear lights for instance, and there seems to be some sort of badge on the side of the rear bodywork where the CCR badges normally are) to this Black one?

The licenceplate is the same (Modena might refer to Racingteam Modena), and both cars have RHD although the interiorcolorcombination might not be the same (but that could have been altered as well).

Maybe I see things that are not there but I can simply not believe that this Black one is yet another unknown CC8S. That would be the 10th CC8S and 5th RHD...
