Read it. Very, very poorly written and have to say that the author comes across as a bit of a twat.

I love the bit:

Quote:
... still unprepared for the state of the mangled mess in the headlamps of my six-litre, 500bhp Audi Q7 Turbo.
"Slow down," yelled my co-driver. I slammed on the brakes with pleasure.
So this idiot admits to driving dangerously and beyond the level he was comfortable with? While I made Mussy scream once or twice with my japes on Gumball (and he had his revenge later), I never drove in a manner where I was not comfortable with the speed or safety of myself or other road users.

I won't go on, but this is a poor article, which is a pity as some of the information it contains is very interesting.

BE

PS Since when did Audi fit 6 litre 500BHP engines to the Q7? I thought the largest engine was a 4.2 lump? Or is there an "Overfinch" company for Audi as well? Just curious as I don't want to call the reporter a lying bullshitter without the facts

Well, this is where i can actually be of help.

The main engines being:

3.0d EDC16 (best of them all imo) 229hp 500nm
4.2 FSI 350hp
3.6 FSI 280hp

Never heard of a 500hp lump and ive searched for a conversion without luck.

A bit like the bloke we had at our workshop this past tuesday with a 650hp nissan skyline that did 247hp on our dyno

I saw an ABT Q7 the other day but don't believe they turned it into a 6 litre 500 bhp Q7 either.
