The FACTS only please and lets get them straight!

Were the following on this years rally or is Max pulling our chain as usual?

Jay Kay
Quetin Tarantino
Johnny Knoxville
Rob Kenworthy.

Anyone have any idea of who did not make it to Monaco and if they were OK (just broke down).

I have been trying to keep up with this years rally but all the forums seem to be occupied by scooby or evo drivers going through puberty. Very little gumball chat seen really. Best qualilty news is here on M5board so keep it up guys and gals.

I havent read anything to lead me to believe that any of the above participated in actual driving. The only celeb I've seen in pics at various stages is Daryl H. (Although I think its suspect if she's done any real driving).

But this is par for the course when it comes to pre-gumball hype. Sh*T Nicholas Cage was suppose to have participated in the 02 Gumball that I did. And I know for fact he wasn't there.

Cheers
Skieman

BTW- I have an 04 Subaru STi with some tasteful mods and take offense that all scooby drivers are going through puberty. I'm just a 38 old that sometimes acts like a 25 year old (And when I take delivery of my M5 I might even act like a 20 year old.)

Re: The FACTS only please and lets get them straight!

Hi Skieman, no offence intended. Just got p****d off at the kimble chat room being full of Scooby/Evo/Skyline drivers talking crap about anything other tahn the Gumball. I am sure that good old Kimble did not intend his chat room for that.

I too have done the GB and found no celebs on that were said to be on it by Max himself. Are you doing it next year ? I am hoping to but Max seems to be cherry picking his entrants.

Billy, You must have been to the wrong chat room? :-)
I am online 50% of the time and all I read is GUMBALL and GUMBALL.
But if something went wrong I like to appologise and kindly ask you to try it again next year.

TO everybody else, who missed the chats, I am going to post all the chat logs of the last few days on our forum soon. Very funny storries from Gumballers, first hand. Just search for Pigginell in the logs.

I know I was in the right place Kim. I was not online all the time for the same reasons I was not in the rally itself (business) (funds the cars though) this year but at times it was fully of Max Power types. Cheers for arranging that chat room though Kim, bloody fantastic to get live feed from the teams and up to date news from them. You are a star and missed on the rally I am sure. I fancy a go on your rally. Is it definitely going to happen. Can we get our TOP GUMBALLERS ANT AND PETE on it too?

Great job Kimble and love your work.

Ant & Pete were one of the first to sign up for the UR. They are in for sure and ofcoz UR is happening. Everything is in place and preparations are running smoothly.

Ant & Pete just confirmed to me on the phone that Alex Roy arrived first in Monaco. He was racing against an SLR which had an engine blow hundred kilometers before Monaco. So he arrived first :-)

I am looking forward to your application. In total we have 8 former Gumballers onboard allready.

Oh, and you are scottish? gG to the UR board and contact Tango. He is a baron with a castle in scotland and will drive the UR in the new M5, with all kinds of special features. You guys should hook up.

No worries BWhiz.

As for GB next year.. doubtful ..as much as I get nostalgic for it. Particularly if its really going to be in China! Well Ol GW won't let me back in the country

Cheers to the UR

Hi Kimble,

Sorry, but we arrived 2nd at the Casino Square behind the Rainbow Lambo (which was signing autographs saying "1st in Monaco") but apparently he was already in Florence whe we checked the tracking in our hotel room in Rome!!

Ask Alex Roy, he had a long night party yesterday night with some Gumballers (!!) but he should be able to answer your doubts soon.

See you and take care in the meantime
