RS6 Plus

http://www.autoblog.com/2007/06/26/a...making-561-hp/

Looks like the standard RS6 is only making 571 hp.....

They are making a plus version...likely because the M5 is still faster.....

You never have enough HP to compensate for the drivetrain losses.

BTW, BMW & Porsched figured this out awhile ago.....
Um is'nt the 997tt 4 wheel drive , or is that not a real car also?
and this is just my opinion but, regardless of what ever comes out, does not seem to be a competitor in a few peoples eyes here.
n then you say play nice
Car are marketed with different appeal and if there was not a market for them they would not be produced, so I believe you missing the point.

So far, we have shown that your math skills are not so good and that Quattro stifles power that enables a TRUCK to beat the might RS4.

Just remember to use a high rez camera, I really want to see "Audis are slow as Donkeys" photo. You should be afraid.....the rumor that Audi is doing an RS6 Plus means the RS6 is slower than the M5.

The question is: Is the bet based upon the M5 v. "standard" RS6? Or any RS6? Just want to make sure we are all clear when we reference this thread in the next year or so..... Actually, that's the funny part. The E60 M5 has been out for how long and the new Audi RS6 is not even in the market yet..... interesting...... Even if the RS6 is faster (which means nothing to me personally - btw my bro has the 2007 RS4, its not even close) BMW is so far ahead bringing cars to the market and others are always playing catch-up.

Reality check:

Since you know about the RS4 B7 that was launched a few years back, can you please tell me where is the M3 E92...?

And btw, the RS4 is a 420 hp car that beats the 507 hp M5 on Nordschleife and draw with M6.

You are aware that Audi's RS division can only produce 1 RS model at a time. How many M's can BMW make?

Did Audi have a car to compete with the E46 M3 since 2000? Again, Audi recently introdced the RS4 as an answer to the E46. Yes it is faster than the M3, but it took a lot of years.

And your quote that the RS4 is faster around NS is just silly.... It should be, its a small car in a different segment. Now if the RS4 is faster than the new M3, I would be very impressed.

The RS4 B7 is not a reply to the M3 E46. Since the M3 E92 isn't available yet I guess that's BMW s reply to the RS4...

You need to do your homework
Have you heard of a station wagon called the RS4 B5? It was able to give the M3 E46 Coupe a pretty hard time for a few years around 2000.

PS I dind't bring up the subject of the RS4, I think you did

PS2 I've heard of a car called the Audi R8. Does BMW have anything like it? I am sure plenty of people would like it.

Back ON-topic. I don't know, but maybe the results of the M5 E60 vs. new RS can be found in the history?
