Opinion needed - Ferrari purchase - Color Issue

Hi,

I am a huge BMW fan and have owned M cars for over 10 years now. I am about to make a infedility to my favorite brand and add to my garage a F 360 Modena. I just fell in love with the V8 melodie, the passenger that the engine is, and to a certain extent the "floppy paddles"

I know I will not keep the car for more than a couple of months; let say a year and I recently found one clean, low mileage, and within my budget (01' 26000 km - F1 gearbox and 95 000 €)

My problem is the following it's YELLOW !

Do you think it's the kind of color that will make it hard to resell, or if some of you are more accustomed with the brand is it a color that is within the standards...

Any opinion is welcomed !

Yellow doesn't work on many cars, but Ferrari is one of them. Member rodman31 just traded in his E60 M5 and got a yellow 360 Modena. It's a beaut! Good luck on your 'difficult' choice

If you are concerned w/resale...then Red is the color of choice (They don't call it Re-Sale Red for nothing)....if you want original...than Yellow WAS the original color of Ferrari (Hence Fly Yellow...till Lambo came along...but that is another story..LOL

This will also depend on your country. Here in the North East of the US, if you are worried about resale then Red is of course the best choice. After that I would put black. Then I would put yellow and silver together. And after that everything else.

I think yellow suits the 360 more than the 430 and I think if you like the yellow then go for it. If you do not like the yellow then skip it.

Thank you all for your advices/opinions!

This yellow is growing on me, and i have to say that I've rarely seen a 360 in this color down here (even though I live near the Ferrari garage...)
I will probably think it through a couple more days - I know read is THE color that sells easily, i haveto figure out if there will be a real demand for yellow. I think the other popular choices here in Belgium/Benelux are black and grey.

Thanks again !

F-car color demand is somewhat regional. Cad cars sell best in red/tan, US seems to favor that but also likes red/black, while the UK guys like red/crema. Do a little research in your particular market and see what sells well.

That said, there really is no 'wrong' choice. An F is an F and is thrilling irrespective of color. Unless you paint it 'Hello Kitty' pink and purple, there wil always be a resale audience.

+1...although the more unique colors like Tour de France Blu...and Grigio...are more often seen on the GT's 550, 575, 612...though MEnthusiast has a 430 in Blu.....I am partial to Black.....but thats just my taste in cars.
