Car and driver figures questionable?

I guess better traction with all wheel drive makes a diff? I have never seen any test results for the M6 or M5 at 4.0 flat.
At least they are consistent, I saw a report of a test they did on the E60 M5 with a figure of 4.1 seconds.

I know the 4.7 that BMW quotes is actually the 0 - 100 km time, but 100 km/h is only about 62 mph.

So I guess we are talking about a small 2 door car which is for practical purposes about as fast to 60 as a mid sized luxury 4 door, well what a surprise.

I do not think the M5 is ugly at all I personally think it is a very aggresive and beautiful sedan. I must admit that the R8 is totally hotttt lookin' though.

Bud i didnt mean it that way. The aero add ons the M5 make it look way nicer, and it could look much better I think. Kind of like the new 3 coupe but bigger. That would be HOT I think. The Touring is by far the meanest looking wagons and I am a huge fans of wagons, with the M6 wheels. Grey on Black with the M6 Wheels would do it for me.

Just the problems I cant get over.

it has almoust the same weight as the rs4 , and exactly the same power . even with the fancy gearbox , and with the rs's manual there can't be such differences between them from 0-100 kmh .

my opinion is that this car is way over rated , and in this price range , the 997 gt3 would blow it away any day . maybe i'm old fashion , but the 4wd is still something i;m not very fond of .

You are mistaken about the Gallardo, it will beat an M5 easily....

Hehe, trust me, Gustav and I have been in close communication about this important issue....the matter has not yet been resolved! Stay tuned for more info about the Allanlambo Gustav grudge match/smackdown in the desert this summer!

Watch all of Gustav's vids, particularly the M5 vs F430. Then watch this vid, then figure it out for yourself:

However it is important to note that the Gallardo and Gaalrdo SE differs.

And yes we have raced two different Galalrdos with the same results

I trust CAR a lot more and when they tested it against the 997 and the G they recorded 4.6 s when going 0-62! I can't imagine it does it in 4.0 s
