190mph on the speedo that is. I heard the real topspeed is about 320km/h

The E55 I have only has 160 Mph on the Speedo????? Hits that and then hits the restrictor.

My S55 has 200 Mph on the Speedo, same again hits that and the limiter cuts in.

Speed on the speedometer dont tell the whole truth, speedos are not accurate.

BTW im not saying that E55 has a topspeed of 320km/h, its only what I read so I dont know if its true or not.

Would have thought that was about right

AMG speedos are pretty accurate, digital read out on my s55 read 158 mph on the 156.5mph/250kph limiter, the needle sat just about 160mph



500sec has loads of speedo pics of mercs, this e55 is doing an indicated 320kph,

It can't do it without forced induction.
I'm not impressed with the E55 doing 190 mph. Take the supercharger off the V8 and lets see what it can do. Mercedes and Audi need to install turbo's or superchargers to keep up with ///M cars.

Inline 6, V8 or V10 THEY ARE ALL NORMALLY ASPIRATED ENGINES FROM BMW!!! The king of performance does not have resort such gimmics like turbo's or superchargers to make a statement. Perhaps Mercedes and Audi will learn to build engines without resorting to such tricks.

hahaha amg has NA 7.3 v12 which will blow v10 away lol.... no doubt m5 v10 is a great engine, but i prefer torque now and not at 6000rpms ! Cant wait to see the new AMG 6.3 with twin turbo!
