I think the 560 SE/ SEL and 560 SEC are timeless and very classy design. Although I would not want to drive around in one.

I liked certain cars in the 80's, most were Mercedes. We owned a few of them, they would run forever.

You've hit the nail on the head. Mercedes were rock solid in the 80's and those cars are still going strong today if you look after them.
