The 2003 AMG Challenge schedule is out. Cost is still $850 but they are advertising:

"And yes, you'll have the opportunity to experience the fastest production Mercedes-Benz sedan - the E55 AMG."

The email I received also said:

"a chance to drive a variety of AMG vehicles including the high-performance SL55 and the fastest Mercedes-Benz production car of all time - the new E55."

I tell you one thing, go and test drive the E55, it´s awesome.

Just had a drive in my friends brand new E55 AMG yesterday.
Amazing how it just propels ahead from any speed.

You really have to watch the speedo to realize how fast you actually are going.

Only thing I didn´t like was the steering feel.

Like rubber in the center.

It´s so well built that it camouflages the speed and roadcontact all the time.

Anyhow, I like my M5 better. It´s more sporty, responsive, better sounding, gives more feedback.

You need to be a real

not to be scared when flooring it in the E55.
