Here I am living in Santa Barbara giving snow advice, but my wife comes from Buffalo and we've enjoyed white Christmases there for the majority of the last 15 years!

Do people realize that 4WD only gives you greater ability to go forward? All cars have 4 wheel brakes and 2 wheel steering. AWD doesn't help a lick in stopping or steering! Best thing you can do is get a good set of snow tires, regardless of how many driven wheels there are!

It helps with steering pulling and puching the car at the same time it does make a difference.

Which particular model are you looking at?

Not sure if it's the same in the US but here in the UK, Mitsubishi UK in partnership with HKS sell different versions from the factory with varying amounts of power. Starting with FQ-300, FQ-330, FQ-360 and FQ-400. Obviously the number relates to the BHP and I'll let you work out what FQ means!

I used to own Evo 7 for three winters - I also tuned it to some 350hp, but then sold it - unless you use it often on winter tracks or snow-full country roads - it is no comparable to almost any BMW:0
