That is outrageous! I think the value of these cars will go in the crapper after people start to hear these stories. What a pity. poor owner.

So much for Nissans being more cost friendly to maintain and repair

you gotta pay to play, nothing is free after all! You get truly monumental performance in the GTR for a bargain-basement price, there has to be a price to be paid somewhere I guess. Although that styling should be punishment enough. Sucks to be a GTR owner I guess.

hearing all these GTR repair horror stories makes me wonder why anyone puts up with it.. if I was driving a Datsun and had a repair issue that big and that stupid I'd be pretty livid.

Because it's worth it.

If I tell people that my M5 had over 10 grand worth of repairs (covered by the extended warranty), then they'd look at me as if I was an idiot. But this car is pure joy to drive, so it's worth it.

Did you read the post and see the pics? Based upon your response I would guess not. This guy paid 11,000 pounds for little to no damage. The pedestrian system requires a replacement ECU as well as rams...

Something doesn't seem right with the pricing or he got screwed over bad. If there was real front end damage I could see those kind of prices, but that is not the case here.

If you damage the awesome machine that is the E39 M5, then consider it a fine for damaging such a fine automobile
