330Ci Clubsport - why bother?

I've just been reading about the new 330Ci Clubsport, is it me, or is this car not really worth building?

Don't get me wrong - it looks like a fantastic car in itself, but why bother building this when you've already got the 330Ci Sport which is fairly rapid, and then if you want real performance, up at the top of the scale is the M3... This car just seems like an un-necessary 'in-between'
Most of the changes from the standard 330Ci Sport are just cosmetic (Spoiler, M-style interior, 18" alloys etc) the only performance-changing addition seems to be the Sports suspension...

It just seems strange to me that BMW think there is a demand for this car? I would have thought if you wanted a nice brisk 3-series then you would go for the very able 330Ci Sport... and if you wanted something a little more gutsy then the M3 would be the obvious choice...

Are BMW trying to make a 330 in an M3's clothing...?

/Rant over

Adam.

A M3 almost look-a-like. Ya I mean it doesnt cost BMW much to make this car, nothing "new"... if it is really just the looks and suspension difference. And from this they can charge people more money. so hehe Ya, I think its pointless to have sometihng in between the 330Ci and the M3, if u can even call this in between.
