740iL M62

Hey guys,

I found a MY 2000 740iL in the scrapyard, that unfortunately was "clunked". No one has molested it yet. It has the M62, and navigation. The motor has been "liquid glassed" and is so seized up, I could not remove the oil cap on the motor. Some chemical residue spilled from under the oil cap and hardened on the motor. It reminded me of RTV sealant "Gasket Maker", but infused with Calcium, and Aluminum.

Is there anything of great value or desirable on this car? I want to take the parts off and store them at home; it being a BMW, might make them worth something. They say they will not sell engines on "clunked" cars, so I am going to try to dismantle the motor and take it out of the yard as 'engine parts'. I am not sure how difficult it will be with that chemical all through the motor. I Might be able to rebuild the motor into a stroker or something.

I saw a MY 1997 S430, a MY 1988 735i, an 80's E28 525i, a 1978 Jaguar XJS V12, about three MY 1990s Lexus LS400s(The ones that want to run forever).
