I will never track the GTR or ZR1, I have a ZO6 for that, but it is a real pleasure to drive everytime. The tranny breakage comes from a few guys abusing the hell out of them, anything will break if you abuse it. After I get the 1000 mile service, I plan on doing the HKS 570 kit, 600+ hp. Just like my M5,I never plan on launching it so the warranty issue shouldn't be a problem. I have a mid-pipe on it already and my Dealer said they would take care of it no matter what I do to it if I don't launch it too much.. It is a wonderful car.

Don't wish to go off topic, but which midpipe did you go with?

Any problems with the dreaded 'drone' at highway speeds?

Have you thought about the Cobb Accessport with the exhaust instead of the HKS system?

Love the car btw.

True, but designers get "inspiration" from many places, especially from other cars . I recall when BMW getting PO'ed when Infiniti launched the M line. Infiniti basically called it "stupid". Then only a few years later after Audi introduces the new SUVEE Q something, Infiniti cries foul !

I might be willing to entertain that to an extent on the ZR-1, but the GT-R has no chance against the ACR even on the same tire.
Cup tires make a huge difference. Also dont underestimate the amount of downforce the ACR's huge wing generates at speed.

So there's a guy at the track that TRAILERS his ACR. His reply when asked why he doesnt drive it home being it's street legal? "What are you crazy?! You don't honestly think that thing is made for the road?"

Ok, I've gotta ask a stupid but simple question: Why is the GTR at approx $85k being compared to a 911 Turbo at approx $130k? The way that Porsche nickels-n-dimes over every option, the similarly optioned 911 would be the NON "S " C2.

Not over these specially designed tires like what you see on the GT-R and ZR-1. They are super soft and sticky. A new generation of r compound, like a hybrid tire.
Besides, no one said anything about the DF. Even without it, the ACR would be faster.

After the merging of threads, I don´t know if already stated, but for the 7.29 of the "stock" GT-R, which was "video documented", shortly after the vids came out, someone laid them (GT-R, Zonda F and ZR1) together as a split screen, and on the "Doettinger Höhe" (a long uphill straight), the Nissan with 480 hp and almost 1800 kg accelerated this uphill staight as fast as the ZR1 with 638hp and slightly over 1500 kg and the Pagani Zonda F Clubsport with 600+ hp and well under 1500 kg...

I´m sure the Nissan had the stock 480 hp....

Best, Bernd

It didn't. In the Evo Magazine test this past summer, Marc Basseng turned a 7:25.21 lap in an Enzo, even with broken electronic damper control.
