I thought the 740i was one of the prettiest models BMW sold, now this?!?
Fugugly comes to mind, from the Volvo front creases to the chrome strip in the back. Inside BMW seems intent on faning out that awful electronic gear shift and heaping on useless / trouble prone electronics.
1) the electronic gear shift in the 7 works perfectly. If you're used to it, you'll notice how much effort goes into shifting the 'old' automatic shifter. Believe me, I did over 50k km's mostly in city driving and I love it.
2) The electronics are NOT useless, there is not a single option in the car that has no real function. Also, the DON'T fail at all. In all of the 7 series that I know of ( and I'd say thats quite a few) we have never experienced any trouble with any electronic feature at all.
New navigation on the 3 and 7-series with HDD and more
Very impressive. They've finally figured out that the Audi system is much better, and took notes. I like both the look and function of the new system, especially the 'shortcut' butons. Much, much needed.

It should be CS. According to BMW the CS is what you "enthusiasts" want. I understand the complaints....wait for the CS. I have seen the Body On White cars and they are impressive!
I am not going to argue with sunshine about this but trust me, there is a CS rolling around with a 5.0l V10 inside.

BTW absent, BMW put Gerhard Richter on the CS project.....Mr. Ritcher was head of BMW M for a long time....so the CS will not likely fail.

I donīt think BMW would leave the high end V12-market to Mercedes and Audi, even when they offer the CS. Iīm quite certain that we will see a turbocharged V12-engine, as all the other engine alternatives in the new 7-series, with around 500-530 bhp to compete with the S600.
