Are the ungainly front porportions due to the new European pedestrian protection rules?

I was seriously considering either a B7 or M7 (if they decide to build one) as my next car. Aesthetics are in the eye of the beholder; I won't be buying one & I'm most likely in their target market.

Hmm

1- front : on the front side the car looks like ... rubbish you can easily see lines from z4 and from the other side you can see a new mercedes C .

2-rear : on the rear side i don't understand any think ! .

3-Interior :unexpected ! look's very cool i like it .

My impression of this car it's a new Maserati Quattroporte .

The interior looks great, although I'm not a fan of the new shifter that is appearing in all of the new BMW's. It just seems too plastic and flimsy. The previous traditional setup was fine.

I like it. However, I do agree with the other that the front needs some kind of better change. It looks pretty similar to the current one.

Also, is it me or is the idrive knob on a weird location, right of the gear lever.

Sigh...

Notwithstanding the latest M Coupe, it's been several years since I have looked at a new BMW for the first time and instantly thought...WOW.

As much as I prefer the driving experience of a Bimmer (note the emphasis), I must say that new Benz's - aesthetically - have been taking my breath away for some time now.

I mean, seriously...the latest CL? Staggeringly gorgeous.

And the new SL (especially the AMG models)? MB dealerships should be slapped with a mandatory waiting period to sell these puppies, because they look hotter than a pistol.

Even the new C class...not to sound like a broken record, but WOW.

Someone at BMW better start making some bribes in the back alley of MB's styling centre.

JMO.

guys, dont comment now on the look until you see it real life, alot of cars were bad in pictures or at first glance, but then they start grow up in people eyes.

here is the US press release information
http://www.autospies.com/images/user...se%20FINAL.pdf

some qoutes from the release
The new 750i is powered by BMW’s
Quote:
4.4-liter twin-turbo V8
Quote:
Four-wheel steering will be included on the 7-Series option list, with an all-wheel drive option slated to be offered in a few years.
Quote:
A new night vision system promises to increase safety for pedestrians. The new system will be able to detect human presence in front of the vehicle and then flash a warning symbol on the display. Moreover, the system will be able to tell if a pedestrian is in the road or safely on the sidewalk, The new system is so advanced, it’s also able to read speed limit signs and warn drivers when they are driving too fast. However, this feature will only be available in Europe for the time being.
Quote:
The big BMW will also be keeping an eye on your speed during inclement weather. The camera can detect fog or rain, and will warn drivers when they are approaching an unsafe speed. Despite the warning, the system has no control over the speed of the vehicle so lead foots need not worry.

'Agree. Pretty much says it all.
