If you want FM, you know there is a FM button on the radio?

I am sorry, but I still can not justify the extra buttons, I don't get it.
I'll be that I've had more miles of experience with this system than anyone in the country (over 76,000 of them), and yes I know all the 'shortcuts' (my car is a 2006, I don't have an FM button). Slide and hold will get you back to whatever entertainment screen you were in, not necessarily the one you want, you still have to navigate from there.

You can't possibly say that the Idrive method of transferring from Nav to FM - slide and hold.........3 seconds.......then push up...click... then rotate one...two...three...then click... all while having to keep your eyes focused on the screen, is simpler than just pushing the FM button???

BMW isn't stupid, they've realized that their system is overly complex, and that is why they've added simple single function buttons to the dash.

Nothing until seen in reality. It's definitily better though than the last one in terms of design. Anyhow, I stilll think E38 is the classiest of of all 7 series.

I would always get 7 Series Diesel if I needed a huge car.

760 V12 spotted (with 4 exhaust pipes):

***Spotted The New BMW 7-Series!!!*** - German Car Zone

Acc. to my information it will be on the Autoshow in Genève, spring 2009. We will see, but this car here is more than a test mule.

I really like the rear end....elegant. I wished the front was a bit more aggressive....
