Top Gear in Al-Ain UAE with 3 Veyrons!

i dont know if this is a repost and if its the right place for me to post this...

Quote:
Photo shoot goes into top gear

ABU DHABI Psst, buddy, can you spare me a sports car? Yes, evidently, three of them. This weekend Top Gear, the UK-based car magazine, which is in the country for a photo shoot, sent out an urgent request for an unusual car, the million-dollar Bugatti Veyron.

It was hoping for one. Instead, it was offered three of the vehicles, which cost more than Dh4.4 million (US$1.2m) each. “No other place in the world could we have found three Bugattis in a span of 48 hours,” said a relieved Charlie Turner, the creative director for the magazine.

The cars were tracked down by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and belong to local owners who wish to remain anonymous. Built by Volkswagen, the 1,000-horsepower vehicle can reach 407kph. One car in the shoot, a gleaming aluminium-bodied model, is one of only five in the world.

The Corniche area and Jabel Hafeet were briefly closed off for the shoot, which featured the Stig, Top Gear’s mysterious, overall-clad driver.

Top Gear, paired with a BBC television show of the same name, sells more than a million copies a month.

Part of the shoot was on top of Jabel Hafeet mountain, and the road leading up to it. to me its the best road in the world. ive driven there many times and its a blast everytime i go!

Original break story:

Quote:
Having decided to get away from all the excitement for the weekend and head for Al Ain, our first surprise yesterday afternoon was to come across police cars, camera crews, two Bugatti Veyrons and a Koenigsegg half way up the hill to Mercure Jebel Hafeet.

We didn't realise it was a Top Gear event until we went to dinner and a group of Brits sat at the next table and started arguing about how they would cut the shots of three Veyrons doing 200 mph down the Abu Dhabi corniche with the Jebel Hafeet shots...something about the Stig being chased out of town by the Veyrons in a Koenigsegg

Then this morning we met a couple at the pool who told us they had seen a guy walking through the foyer of the hotel last night in full race suit and helmet.

We have now exchanged phone numbers and agreed that if we see the Stig again we will immediately contact each other and overpower him so we can remove his helmet and get a photo
Fckin hell 3 veyrons and 1000bhp konegsegg and from the pic i think he also owns that matt black foiled Lumma M5

Thats IF the money goes into our walets! And no you cant dig up your garden for oil and if you do and is successful in finding oil.. it goes to the Government!

Dubai for your own information is one the most booming places in the world and everyone is milking money there.. And guess what they dont have 1 drop of oil.

Isn't the silver one the "Pur-Sang" edition?
Anyway, I guess the owner wasn't able to make up his mind about colors. lol
