That care just doesn't do it for me. I'd pay the extra money for the M or AMG. I'd still take the AMG or M even if it were slower.

american cars suck. in fact, they suck big ones. I dont plan on ever owning one again. the only american vehicle I would buy would be a truck, if I needed one.

Had the new CTS as a loaner for a day and was very ,very surprised.
Wanted to hate that thing but was shocked to discover how good that car was for the price (sticker in the $30k's).
Based on that experience,I truly expect the CTS-V to be a real breakthrough (for the $$$),love the interior also...

Btw, BMW has to step up to the plate now,it would be sacrilegious to have an M5 slower then a Cadillac...

They build the CTS's 2 miles from my office so I see them A LOT. Besides the cheesy looking side gills, they are nice looking....especially with 550 ponies.

Side note:

About a year ago a couple engineers had a CTS test mule break down in front of my office and left it there without paying the parking meter. An hour later, it was towed by the city.

Cheers ///

My Dad had an 05(?) cts-v. He has had nothing but problems so he decided to sell it. Couldn't sell it ,so he wanted to trade it when he bought a Lexus LS460L. The Lexus dealer call the local cadillac dealer and was told they didn't want the car at any price.
They gave him 25k trade value.
Quality means every bit as much as Hp figures.

before you quickley judge american cars, dont forget... you can fit at least 1 or 2 more bodies in a cadillac trunk than inside the bmw. but seriously i have owned both and i have to say cadillacs have come a long way and the caddies just feel much more luxurious and comfortable whereas the bmw's feel very modern and athletic.

Looks like they are making some improvements on the interior, seats look solid.

I don't see this car being faster than the M or AMG and I expect the Supercharged version to be right around 4sec to 60, maybe a tad under. They have to keep the separation with the new ZR1 and existing ZO6.
