problem with cached copy?

I am having an issue: Firefox 14, Windows 7 64-bit

1) When I go to my control panel and see a list of let's say four subscribed topics with unread posts even after I read them all I go back to my control panel those same subsribed topics continue to appear in the list until I manually refresh the web page.

2) Typically when you respond to a topic in a forum and then return to the forum's landing page, the title of the topic you just responded to is NOT bolded as are your uinread topics. As of late ALL of the topice remain bolded even AFTER I read them or respond to them until I manually refresh the web page and even after that sometimes.

3) After replying to a topic as my post is being updated to the thread the column of advertisers on the right under Advertise? disappears and then reappears causing the entire page to shift to the left and then to the right until I manually refresh the page. No other links seem to work during this.

4) After I enter my login credentials and after the "Redirecting . . . " popup, usually the front page of the forum is loaded and in the upper right it says "Welcome josiahg52. You last visited on . . . ". Now the page that is loaded looks just like it does when you are not logged in (blue register now! floating window and all) until I manually refresh the web page.

This does not happen on IE 7; I have not tried IE 8, 9 or 10. This onset of this issue may have coincided with the update to Firefox 14 but I tried going to back to 13 and found the same behaviour present. I would greatly prefer to stay with Firefox.

Thank you.

This problem is apparent to a certain degree in IE9, mostly the non-refreshing pages. I have updated Java, Adobe Flash Player and Windows.
