Turbo upgrade anyone?

I have been playing around with the idea of playing around a little bit with the motor. One of the things I'm looking at is to upgrade the turbos.
Various options available. For instance: http://www.pureturbos.com/store/bmw-upgrade-turbos has both stage 1 and 2
Another interesting option is: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-vargas-t...tt-s63tu-stg1/

Has anyone done it? Any recommendations?

I'd say Pure Turbos are the ones to go for considering how many are currently running with their Turbos currently.

Any modifications to date yourself ?

Before Turbo upgrades you would logically upgrade the clutch packs, as your stock turbos can be run at a level to obliterate your stock clutches if you so desire.

She's stock at the moment.
I was looking at a stage 1 and thought a 900 ftlbs clutch pack would support that should I cross the doldrums that separate idea from realisation.

Yeah stock clutches will start slipping as you approach 700 Lb.Ft. at the wheels or about 830 Lb.Ft. at the flywheel

What I am saying is you could be making comfortably more than that with your stock turbos. So if you are going to upgrade your turbos, then there is no point in doing so unless you upgrade your clutch packs too. Also you need to start looking at upgraded driveshafts too. They fail next after clutch packs, even with stock turbos in place, especially if you are running sticky tyres and hammering it off the line quite a bit.

Stock turbos have an awful lot of headroom.

Thanks.
The turbos look very interesting. Very tempted indeed. I also managed to get some input from a friend in Germany who has fitted a Pureturbo stage 2 combined with a whole range of other extras with interesting results.

I had a look at your offer.
If I buy from Extreme Power House the price is $9,312.50 out of which you will refund $6,700 as soon as I send you back the old cores?
OR I can park the car, pull the cores, send them to you and wait until you send me the upgrade? In this case the price is $2,612.50 and I will have to park the car for at least a month?

If I buy from Pureturbos directly the price is $3,950.00 out which they will refund $1,200.00 after I send them back the old cores. OR I can park the car, pull the cores, send them to Pureturbos and wait until they send me the upgrade? In this case the price is $2,750 and I will have to park the car for at least a month?

So in reality, if I dont want to park the car for a month I can choose to pay a deposit of $6,700 or $1,200. By choosing not to pay a $6,700 deposit I have to pay a $137.50 higher price?

Sorry i missed your post.

We had a mistake with the core deposit amount.

Its $2750 for the stage 1
+ $4600 deposit.

You get this deposit 100% once you send back your core.
Or you can avoid paying a deposit if you send your core first

We are doing 15% OFF Pure turbos for a limited time!
