Thumbs up the F10 is home........

after a bit of a wait I've finally got the new beast home. an F10 M5 Performance edition.
One of 30 Matte cars made in the UK, with lots of goodies on.
coming from the older E60, the 3 main things i like are.
the Torque low down, so nice not to have to drive it hard
the Gearchanges, so smooth and quick, the opposite of the E60!
that power, just can't stop laughing every time .....

i believe these have 22k of options on them although I'm not sure where they all are, and can't see where a "standard one" would be 22k worse, but nice to have toys i guess. oh and its got Turner Motorsport muffler delete.....sounds quite nice ! :-)

Nice acquisition !! Turner muffler delete is interesting. What does it sound like please ?

Are you sure its a wrap rather than a funky BMW paint option ?

theres a spot on the bumper that shows its a wrap too

Perhaps someone has previously fitted a clear protection wrap to your car ?

See here also this video where BMWs head of body-and-paint technical training manager, discuss Frozen PAINT and in fact show the PAINTING of a Frozen PAINT panel. No wrapping of panels is ever adopted.

I believe the Frozen PAINT effect is created by the use of special clear coat (lacquer) that absorbs more light than a standard PAINT finish clear coat (lacquer) that reflects more light and hence the shiny / glossy effect.
