Lucky M5 European Delivery owners getting exclusive launch event by BMW

BMW announces exclusive M5 European Delivery Launch Event for us - M5POST - BMW M5 Forum

As if taking delivery of the M5 in Germany wasn't good enough, european delivery owners will also get to attend this launch event put on by BMW.

Those who didn't get the email should contact BMW to get in on this you'll get to meet with engineers and get into the M Studio at BMW M HQ. Lucky lucky lucky!

I'm in the same boat. They need to change the date to either 9/1 or 9/7.

I emailed the group yesterday to find out if they could change the date or provide some access to engineers on Saturday. Saturday, 9/1, appears to be the big day

Here is the response I got from BMW

"...Unfortunately, the Engineers are not available to attend the BMW Welt deliveries. The only dates they could commit to us are these two event days."

I recommend we individually email BMW at BMWEuropeanDelivery@bmwna.com and see if they will move the event based on feedback from several of us.

Yeah I just emailed them back too. I explained that due to my ED travel plans I couldn't attend and that if it were possible to move the event to 9/1 or 9/7 then I would be able to attend. Lets see what they say.

We are trying to get the 9/4 event moved to 9/1 or 9/3. I am also working on trying to get a private M Studio Tour for the group on 8/31.

For those who are doing 9/1 or 9/3 delivery I recommend going to this posting. There is a large number of us who are making plans and able to get hotel discounts at the Marriott.

Let's see if I understand, you can't go when M has scheduled the M Studio Tour and presentations so you want to have it changed so it's more convenient for you -- notwithstanding that others have already signed up for the presentation on the 4th and probably half the people scheduled to pick up their cars on Sept. 1st wouldn't be able to also get to Garching in time. Did I get that right?

Of the 22 people taking European Delivery M5s on September 1st, I'm not convinced many people are attending on the 4th based on what people have posted about their trip information. Some people are flying out on Sunday. Others are sticking around for a week, but leaving Munich on Sunday to tour other places.

This said we have not asked them to move the event and inconvenience others.

We have asked for an alternative of a simple M Studio tour, without the presentations and meet the engineers component, as an alternative for the many of us who cannot be there on the 4th.
