LED Headlights?

Hi everyone! I am so pumped with all the orders being placed by many of you, I almost forgot to ask whether BMW is planning to offer LED headlights as standard or optional equipment. I vaguely recall past discussions (maybe not on this forum) that this was going to be standard with the 2013 model year. Thoughts?

Thanks!

Full LED headlights are an option, part of the option package.

There will be some equipment updates from July production which is when US 2013 model production starts. We don't know what those are, but 2 things are likely:
1) Updated Instrument Cluster which may be all digital (i.e. the whole thing is a display like in the Jag). They have already announced this for non-M 5 series models starting in July.
2) Availability of Bang and Olufsen
3) Some HUD updates to match the additional functionality of the F30 HUD (maybe US only)

Haven't heard about LED headlights. it is possible, but I suspect unlikely.

I know the M6 had LED headlights, but I have yet to hear anything about them for the M5.

On the German BMW we site you can now download the new July M5 price list. It contains new options like B&O audio, ceramic brakes and a few minor updates. Full LED lights are not on the list.

I messed this up, I was confusing the M6 executive package. As everyone pointed out already, no LED lights on the M5. Dissapointing, but I guess I can live without it..
