Java, I believe the author spoke of turbo lag in the context of downshift. I don't know where you'd downshift from into 7th gear if it's a 7-speed DCT.
IT is not NA so i did not expect response like S85.. I was just saying it is during downshift from very high gear.. i expect minimal lag from middle gears where you are going to be most of the time.. I would be very worried if 1 sec lag was from going up the gears.. (like older turbos).. even in E60, get caught it wrong gear and a slower car will pass you..
More reviews will roll in from actual board members several months from now and and we will know more..

I couldn't help but laugh seeing that SAAB "Roaring" thru the parking lot at 15mph. Whoever pulled the trigger on this project on the M5 should be canned.
ahaha, no wonder in the MFlight video it sounded like a V10, poser M5 here we come! Still a great car though, this feature is best suited for the 2060 M5, when the world runs out of gas, actually if Toyota had this in the Prius, I would love it!
Strangely, I can't stop watching that linked video for SoundRacer; it's so funny.
What's also funny is how BMW is marketing this technology as something so sophisticated, yet the SoundRacer device appears to be just a stick you plug into the cigarette lighter. I hope this feature is due to the great insulation of the new M5.
