First of all, Ring times have really become marketing ploys, as they are all done under varying circumstances and on such a long track the times can vary by a lot etc...So I take them with a grain of salt.

Despite my above comment, did anyone REALLY believe the new F10 M5 wouldn't be a sub 8 min. car? Or be slower than the CTS-V? Come on...they've been developing this car for years and they squarely new what their competition was! Every M model has been better than the last, usually by alot! Why would it change this time? I for one, totally expected this. I think it might even have more in it than the 7:55 posted. But again, with a grain of salt...
