F10 M5 Factory production dates (every other BMW as well)

Looks like SOP(Start of Production) date is for the M5 is 3-12 and the EOP (End of Production) date is 6-12.

These are obviously MY2012 runs. It is safe to assume that MY2013 SOP is 7/12 for most generations

I do not believe any of that info at all. 3rd month 2012 they will already be on the road here before then.

I sure hope so. Seems kind of crazy that M5 will not start production almost an year from now.

Most of the entries show end of production as 6 or 7 (June or July) which seems suspect as usually cars are produced until the factory break in August (which is not a full month break). Also model years do not always start with the resumption of production in September. Often a model year starts in March/April for new body series.

I would not put much stock in the "report". If for no other reason that it is old (12/31/2010). Is it supposed to be for U.S. or worldwide production?

BMW has been starting a LOT of model years recently in June and July. This doesn't look odd at all. And they need to pre-plan these things for certification purposes etc. - this list looks quite believable to me.
