Are you taking a piss at me or agreeing? Cause I can provide you the answer on why we don't have it now, although I don't know how they intend to solve that problem.

I like having the traction control off. It like you are on a wild ride at the fair. Every corner can be sideways if that is what you want.

In theory the six speed should have slower acceleration, anyone seen a direct comparison?

I think it was in a recent Road and Track that they had a test of the 6 speed M5 and it was more than 0.5 sec slower to 60mph and 1.0+ sec slower to 100mph. One of the US members could confirm these figures as I did not buy the magazine.

seemless gearbox

90L fuel tank

Ceramic breaks option

More Interior Colors

less fuel consumption while P400 Model

No More Controversial style ***Please*** (The Current 2008 E60 is very pretty with its new front lights)

I am also thinking of a refrigerator in the F10, but it might be too luxury for the M5

I see that BMW's CS Concept just announced at a Chinese motor show mentions a twin turbo 4l V8, 5l V10, and 6.0l V12, based on the current V10 as possible power plants. if they can squeeze the extra two cylinders into the 5's engine bay it would really move the M5 with 630+ hp wellbeyond the present E63's. Time will tell.....

Sure, but reading the CS press release it looks more likely that this is intended to show the direction of future 8-series or maybe 7-series. Bigger cars than the 5 and with more engine room space.

Can you imagine getting an engine 8 to 10 inches longer under the M5 hood? I just don't see it myself.

My wish list:

The return of the "wolf in sheeps clothing". Form follows function! No need for any Pontiac style holes in the fenders or hood.

A real manual transmission.

No need for the power button gimmick. If you want less power, shift at a lower rpm.

PLEASE PLEASE put the spare tire back in the trunk. An everyday driver needs a spare tire! It is extremely inconvienent and embarrassing when the tire goes flat and you miss your airplane, appointment etc. A flat tire should only result in a few minute delay.

+1, it makes no sense not to have a spare. That aside, theres not too much else to improve on, well, other than the gearbox. The horror stories of being let down by the SMGIII in the most inconvenient (or dangerous) of times are enough to sway me to 6 speed anyday.
