Looking very nice. I really like the diffuser. I don't really like the powerdome, at least not as protrusive as they show it. I also think those wheels are too big and tire sidewalls too low profile to be on a high performance car.
But overall it looks great. Definitely a big brother to the E92.
I read elsehwere online that the f10 M5, to save on weight, will feature a carbon fiber roof..of course, it'll likely be painted the same color as the rest of the car but cool nonetheless!:2:
+1 very good observation. Although I like this rendering and kudos to the imagination of the artist but as it has been mentioned, the official release will have smaller diameter wheels, the rear diffuser we've seen in photos along with no power dome. I always thought the m5 to be strikingly different from the m3 cosmetically and unfortunately these renderings show it to be just a bigger e92.
Hard to say, but I'd bet more for the wide at the top lower scoop \-----/ rather than the M3 style wide at the bottom scroop /-----\ simply as a cue that this is not an M3. I agree that the M Sport package for the F10 5er is a good basis to see the "design language" they have in mind for the new M5.
Another (strictly personal) prediction based on nothing: BMW won't put a power dome/buldge on the hood/bonnet unless they need it for more engine clearance. I don't think they will "power dome" the hood just for visual effect. I'm guessing that the M3 needed it for the S65 V8. Oh well, we will know by at least November 2011 (but hopefully sooner via a concept car).
Hi there, as with some of the chaps here i doubt the power dome will feature on the m5 and the whhels too big, to be honest looks like a future version Schnitzer or Hamman m5 that could be offered as opposed to something BMW will build. But hey all is still speculation can't wait to see the finished article though. Merry Christmas in advance :2:
Having the pairs of exhaust pipes closer together (within the inner wheel well "lines") is an M3 styling cue, so I'd expect the new M5 and M6 to have wider spacing, like on the E60 and E63/E64 cars. But you never know...
Nice rendering. Maybe ACS or Lumma can buy the rights.
M5 won't be anything like that.
Not that I am holding my breath though, all the ingredients for the F10 being the least interesting M5 ever are alive and kicking. Especially the sad turbo engine.
Oh well, hope it inspires people to drop the E60 prices.
I think the exterior of this new F10 body looks great. However, I'm not a huge fan of that bulge in the hood. I thin the M5 could & will do without that... !
I am hoping for two different versions of the Beast I.E. "sport" and "luxury" versions with a lot of options for both full leather bigger engine etc etc.......but I doubt it at least for the U.S. market....
And that's an M car you will be able to actually buy in 2011 :wroom:
I agree, that would make an aggressive looking M5. Maybe the could use the rear end details from the 1 M Coupe on the back of the M5 too!
But I think they are too far down the road to do that. The spy photos of the M5 (see previous page) are likely the best indicators of what will be (and yes, it looks like the /-----\ scoop is to make it into production).
Im Duron and the creator of this peace. I just wanted to say, that this M5 is not a speculation based on the latest spyshots. This interpratation is purely my imagination. Ive started with this project back in january! Long before the first applicable spyshots came to light. You can watch all the Progress here.
Hey guys, nice to meet you

I like the pic's over all but I hope they change the Bumper similar to how the 1M is like if it is like the renderings then it will be easy to "clone" and would kinda look plan.....I would like it to look more aggressive like the car has an attitude problem and is saying "come get some".......
I feel like something is missing on the back end. That side shot picture resembles the M3 too closely!? :dunno:
The fourth pic down from the front quarter looks amazing, though! mmmmmm
