New BMW M5 illustration from Edmunds Inside Line: a more subtle one

More lowkey and subtle than the others.

Rendered: 2012 BMW M5

Not bad. Looks like the aero kit on this rendering was lifted from the M3 - of course it probably will be somewhat similar. The twin exhausts are more close together than usual for M5s (again, more like M3s).

Of course, high-gloss Shadowline trim is missing...I sure hope that will be the default exterior trim on the F10 M5.

comparing the looks to the current E60 M5 car ......

It looks sooooo much better ! In fact, call me crazy it reminds me of an updated E39 style body. Anyone else see this too ?

If you look at the BMW lineup, it's an evolution from first to the E39. Besides the E60 since Bangle went a different direction with the E60 that many of us love, and now since he stepped down, it's as if they are resuming the "E39" family.

So you can look at the E39, close your eyes for eight years and the F10 5'er is here. I hope they give us something to like this time around.

I really like the 3-series, but I think the 5 should be different than the 3. I'm happy and unhappy at the same time with that rendering. Then again every model is beginning to look the same, so i'll have to suck it up.. Or not, I can stick with my E60
