Looks like not only will the M5 cease production in December but also the whole series, so if next F10 5er will be released in genve 2010,
we could expect the F10 M5 to be unvelied Frankfurt 2010 Current Generation BMW 5-Series Production to End this Year?

Umm there is no Frankurt autoshow in 2010. There is one every other year which means the next one will be in 2011.
However the M5 could make its debut in Geneve's 2011 autoshow and go into production as a 2012 model? Or it could go all the way to Frankfurt in September. Isnt that the old schedule?

I do not thing the gap is going to be as much as previous models. BMW has no realized that each model has its purchaser. My only concern is if they have the V8 TT and its also found in the M5 they might prolong release to give the 550 to sell, especially if the M5 is going to be fully auto.
Guys try to think more on track. Read the interviews, read only substantial information, not accusations and speculation.
BMW M is a entire different division than BMW.
The F10 M5 will be one hell of a beast. It will over power, out handle, and be a nice upgrade from our current M5's. It may be a V8TT, it may be a V10TT we do know that they are testing both engines. We know nothing else other than that!
Although it's a little upsetting to leave the N/A V10 and nice to hear about V10TT and not so nice but unsure to hear V8TT I know that BMW M will build a great car, nothing short.

Traditionally the direct competitor of the M5 is the E class AMG car. If you look at how little the new E63 has evolved power wise I do not think BMW is going to take such a big step at once. When times are tough I think they will use something that makes financial sense, one motor for three models. Its a big enough step with the V8TT to outclass the E63 motor wise and with BMW gearbox technology the car will be faster than the RS6 so it will be a win win situation for BMW.
The strange thing is I have a lot of links with engine management programmers and the same amount of effort has been put into both motors so not even they know. The motor manufacturing tooling should have been ordered by now and nothing in that regard has leaked out which would mean its the V8 or they really know how to keep a secret.

As far as finance and our current economy, I think the M Division will cut back production before they design a underperformed vehicle.
For example, there would be a waiting list and so many vehicles made. If demand rises, then they will produce more.
I honestly cant see BMW building something short of excellent when it comes to the M Division.
Time will tell.. hopeing for the best.
