I actually think it looks a lot like the E60 with obvious evolution. It's only one angle of course. Unless they go in a radical new direction, I can see this as an evolved E60 look.
That's photoshopped. It's a nice evolution on the E60, but not the real thing (not that pic, anyway). The suspension is too low, wheels are too big, the front wheel arches are huge when looking at the side vents, and the shadow on the ground doesnt look natural.
that's obviously a fantasy p-shop by someone w/a hard-on for the E60 shape. I don't think BMW would make the next gen 5 series such an uninventive evolution of the E60, maybe some of those front end styling cues would make it onto the new vehicle but look at the sides, they look stock E60 to me.

Given there was a lot of controversary with the likes and dislikes of the E60 once production models were release, I am going to have to say that if a lot of E39 guys like this picture (Call it 2nd generation E60?) The actual car will not look this cool.....
there's my .02 and only BMW can prove us otherwise.
