probably a slightly less powerful version of this will be in the 760. im guessing about 500 hp. i think the new rolls is based on the 7 series so this would make sense.
The 760i and 760Li was announced by BMW last month. Per specs published by BMW in their media kit, engine is a twin-turbo V12 with 5,972 cc. Unlike the new TT V8, the turbos are mounted outside the block with exhaust ports in conventional location, unlike the new TT V8 with the exhaust ports between the cyl. heads with the turbos mounted between the cylinders. The engine produces 544 hp and 750/553 Mn/lb-ft of torque. Also has a new 8 speed automatic transmission.
Also, I think the X5 M and X6 M cars should have gotten a M-tuned version of this engine or a biturbo V10 since they are so massive...and leave the biturbo M V8 to the next M5/6.

I'm sort of encouraged by all the newest engines from BMW in that they are each uniquely designed to fit the tasks required by each vehicle.
The new X6M engine (4.0L tt V8) seems like a good fit for that truck. And the all-new V12 for the 760i is exactly what that limo needs: smooth and powerful.
So shouldn't we expect BMW to do the same with the next M5? I'm beginning to think that BMW will do more than just plop the X6M engine into the new M5. Twin turbo V10 maybe?
