2011 M5 spotted on the ring....

http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/Secret-new-cars/Search-Results/Spyshots/BMW-M5-2011-the-spy-photos/?content-block=0
What can I say... I do not see a viable replacement option for the E39 M5. E60 or this new thing are not going to cut it for me.

As of right now, I just can't see myself getting another M5 unless it is an E39 M5. I keep hoping to see another M series vehicle that does it for me, but recently nothing has really made me go 'THAT is the car I want to replace my M5!'

+1. Also wonder what the price point will be on this thing?

There's a discussion of this going on in the F10 thread also.

The way the copy was written, it suggests 540 to the wheels, but the article indicates 540bhp. This lines up with numerous other reports. I think it was clumsy writing.

In any case, 540bhp from 4.4L (~270 cu in) is pretty impressive, however we may feel about the style. It may also be pretty hard to judge the style from the heavily clad mule.

At the end of the day, I'm guessing my love affair with the e39 beast is in no foreseeable danger

Dave

Good grief!!! This means I have to wait all the way to 2011 to not buy a new M5.

Also, didn't England sink the Bismark in WWII?
