Not so impressed with new B&B Triflow...

Well, I recently replaced my Kelleners race exhaust with a B&B Triflow exhaust. So far I am not impressed. While it certainly isn't the end of the world, I have to tell you the B&B Triflow exhaust has been pretty disappointing. Following the advice of my mechanic/mod guy, I was going for the loudest, most aggressive sounding exhaust imaginable. If the Kelleners is a roaring tiger, the B&B is a purring pussycat. I miss my Kelleners and I have been wistfully watching/listening to the videos of it that the buyer has posted here on the board. On the bright side, the B&B has a nice look...handsome tips while the Kelleners are just pipes...I had the tips acid etched and refinished in a matte black which looks pretty cool...but at the end of the day it's an exhaust, who cares how it looks?! The raspy, loud, crackling, popping, growling, roaring, screaming Kelleners is superior in sound to the low, muffled, throaty grunting of the B&B...now I know! I am hoping it will open-up some more with heats of expansion over time...Also, the response seems delayed when I step on the throttle...like a half second delay vs. the Kelleners, where stepping on the throttle was like stepping on the tail of a tiger: instant roar!
In the next couple of weeks I'll be adding SS race cats to my SS headers and x-pipe. I hope this will help some...for now I miss the "get the hell outta my way can't you hear this German Beast coming" roar of my Kelleners...(I used to "roar" at people who cut me off in parking lots...man it would freak them out...better than a horn! hehehe)

You replaced the Kelleners with B&Bs and hoped it would be louder?

You can't get any louder than Kelleners ... just the mufflers are loud enough and you can be heard easily ... I'm not even gonna touch on swapping an X-pipe, cats and headers in.

My car makes people go instantaneously deaf.

B&Bs are one of the quietest out there ... along with SS.

Kelleners are the loudest and most aggressive sound you can get. By a long shot (and that's not a bias view, either). I have tried B&B, Eisenmann, and Britalman. Nothing comes close to the sound of the Kelleners.

I'm just the opposite. I have never had anything but stock exhaust on my previous cars.

The M5 I picked up has the BB Triflow exhaust system and while the rumbling is cool and all, I set off car alarms in the parking garage at work. I feel slightly embarrased with all the suits running around.

Yes,different stroke for different folks. If you like a really deep, base-sounding exhaust this is the one for you...

I have only heard Hayward and Scott on video but I would have to say it is much more aggressive and raspy than the B&B Triflow...
