German/Euro Members have a question

Me and 3 other buddies will be on your soil next Wednesday We're flying into Frankfurt and then heading down to Nurburg. My question is, is it better to bring lots of cash or just try and use our cards for everything? Thanks guys and I hope to meet up with some of you.

Personally, I found it a bit of a mission to find cash points everyday so just took a wodge of Euro's.

NB - I am a UK visitor to the place. Hope that helps.

I travel frequently around Europe and Germany is not the best place for credit cards !!!

You will be able to use credit cards in the restaurants, hotels, petrol stations, car rental, the usual stuff, BUT: buy anything in a supermarket, electronic store, wherever else, you will never be able to use a credit card ! Do not assume the same amount of acceptance for credit cards, that you are used to from the states.

Germany is backwards, when it comes to credit cards.
