Yeah Mark, sure. The car did great. In fact, it's been a long time ago since the car was in this shape.
I was in worse shape. Got a terrible headache from the sun. Only did 6 laps, and went home again. But I really enjoyed the laps, and the car finally gave me the confidence again to go a bit faster.

We put new tyres on yesterday, and new front brake pads while we were at the Ring.

Well we had a nice time today - -went to the 'Ring, saw Frits and friends, Tiago and his brother and others...

WHO's going to the 'RING Sunday?-img_3550a.jpg

It was nice and dry when I got there, so did a leisurely lap - experiemented with a fisheye lens;

Flat black was the color of the day, notice these two;

...it started to rain, so as I had a neighbor with me that wanted to get back, we left, and took the A61 north -so another camera could flash me... (man I'm going to be walking soon...)

I stayed until 6 PM, which was a bad decision. Lots of crashes (mostly bikes), lots of track closures, and rain. I really don't like driving on the Ring in the rain on the Cups. It is so unpredictable, compared to PS2s.
On the way home, we took B-roads, since we can't drive that fast in the pooring rain on the semis. Wow, on B-roads, it's quite a trip...

I did some good laps in the morning though. 6 laps with almost no traffic, and dry. That went great.

Where were you guys ? I arrived early in the afternoon and besides Frits everyone was gone ...

Considering the "very nice weather", we headed onto the new promenade at the GP Strecke to walk around the shops (and spend some money ). Decided to try a lap 'round 5.30, I guess I was 1 km on the Nordschleife and it started to rain heavily. Downshifting at the first corner, and the M3 started sliding already. I guess I've never driven this slow at the NS ever ... Saw a BMW 2002 in the armco at Brünchenn, came off the track and it was closed (later I heard a 3-series compact and 2 bikes also crashed). Eventually we left at 7 pm, the track was opened again but with this kind of weather, we didn't do any more laps.

Rain really spoilt the day for me... however there was a guy in a 350Z just drifiting all around the Ring, he surely was having fun

Mark, if you don't understand this, it's obvious you missed the last meet at the garage. I told you so to be there...
