I don't know if it was the same guy. The biker I was talking about was being given CPR by a witness as he slowed down to pass it by. I am making an assumption. I hope it was the same guy and he lived. I watched a guy die at my feet two weekends ago. It was a sad sight. He hit the wall almost straight on at Galgenkopf. I got out of my car to help with what I could, but his buddies were already yanking off his helmet and screaming for me to dial the ambulance.

I arrived rather late, and the track was closed at that time. Had to wait rather long until it was open again.
After that, the day became better and better. No more closures, not much traffic (some laps we hardly saw other cars), no issues with the car, just great.
I'm getting better and better in passing other cars/bikes. I used to wait very long for the perfect moment, now I usually just start passing whenever I reach another car.

To me, this was the best day at the Ring this season!

Nice meeting you and the family Mark!

I just agreed with the owner of http://www.power-plus.be on a sponsoring deal. So there will be some Power Plus Engineering banners on the car, and the car will be running on PPE software

Frits,

I looked at the website - - I think I recognize at least one car pictured there...

Yes, the guy is a friend of mine, who also frequents the Ring, in an E30 M3 or in a CSL.

I'm a regular customer at that shop. Most performance mods on my cars are purchased there...

I got the wheels! They were deliverd in 10 workig days instead of the promised 15. Great!

They are at the tyre shop now, and might be powder coated in white first. Depends on the powder coating factory's holiday planning...

In the mean time, some more parts are sprayed. The hood and the front fenders are done. Next thing up is doors and bootlid. When these parts are done, the rest of the car will be sprayed at once. Maybe it'll be ready by the end of the week...

End of the week is too optimistic, I'm afraid

Today, the doors and the bootlid will be sprayed. Maybe already some filler on the right rear fender, or some sanding on the car itself...

Got some more info about the wheels. I got a message from the tyre shop that the wheels are in the powder coating factory right now (even yesterday). If all goes well, I have the wheels back by the end of the week, in white, with PS2's on them. All 6. This tyre shop rocks!!

Ok, update!

The car is sprayed! We're busy mounting everything now. Too bad I haven't got much time the next few days... Actually, we only have a few more hours to go until it is finished.

I got the wheels back on Friday, as promised. Powdercoated in white (looks good!!), and with PS2's in 235/40/17. Got an extra sponsor: the tyre shop!! He made a really really really good price for the tires and the powdercoating. Did I mention the tyre shop rocks?

I'll try to snap a few pictures in the evening.
